The Director of Enterprise Applications will lead many of these exciting and highly visible initiatives at the University. The incumbent is a highly motivated leader who is able to build relationships, communicate value, a strategic and creative thinker. This individual will lead the Enterprise Applications team responsible for helping various departments on campus with business process, data stewardship, application support, information gathering, and analysis as well as developing applications in support of improving business workflows. He or she will be an IT ambassador to various functional units within Arcadia and form strong working relationships in an effort to understand and help improve business workflow and the use of applications that support the mission and vision of the University.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide overall leadership for the Enterprise Application functions and team within IT.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to the VP/CIO in the development of vision, strategy, and goals for the IT unit.
  • Serve as an engaged and contributing member of the senior leadership team at the University level.
  • Lead the mission-critical Salesforce initiative serving multiple stakeholder groups across the University.
  • Responsible for the overall management of all enterprise applications (administrative) systems at Arcadia.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing the training program and support of end-users in the use of the Student Information System (PowerCampus), Salesforce, Dynamics, PowerFaids and other enterprise applications that are used in various administrative and academic areas.
  • Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a strong integration strategy for the University that aims to bring data from disparate systems together to enable effective reporting, analytics and decision making.
  • Work collaboratively with departments to help improve business process in an effort to align outcomes and milestones with the University's strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for the overall data warehousing, reporting and data analytics efforts at the University.
  • Advocate for innovation and ensure that change is managed with full awareness of security/compliance needs, user experience/impact, sustainability and best practices.
  • Be a motivational leader to your direct reports who will work to ensure that Information Technology works as one cohesive, high-functioning team.
  • Work closely with the VP/CIO and other technology leaders in the development and enforcement of Information Security policy and practices.
  • Lead data governance efforts in close coordination with the department of Institutional Research, advocate for excellent data stewardship and ensure that proper data standard and practices are followed by various constituents on campus.
  • Maintain and respect highly sensitive and confidential information that resides in various administrative systems owned by the University.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of SQL Server and reporting services.
  • A deep understanding of database, information systems and Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Project Management and experience supervising professional staff.
  • Experience working in a higher education institution is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and effectively communicate business requirements and technical design.
  • Demonstrated ability to use effective problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills to influence management, as well as internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated project management experience and excellent analytical and skills.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation, experience in partnering with other units, and fostering a team spirit within the department.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with others and foster a positive attitude within the team and with other constituents.
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership ability.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable communicating with groups of people as well as good presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across different organizations, locally and globally

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience managing an Application Support/Business Development environment.
