Job Summary:

The Audio Visual Event Technology Coordinator will be the face of Technology Support for events and meetings on campus. This position will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the technical needs of events, meetings and some classes on campus. This support will include pre-event coordination and planning, on-site technology training and support for AV systems, and immediate troubleshooting/support during events/meetings.

Essential Functions

- Provide support for the day-to-day audiovisual needs of Arcadia University. This involves managing your time and a group of student workers time to cover these events.

- Regular testing, repair and preventative maintenance of technology-equipped spaces

- Work with community members to upgrade current meeting/event spaces, or implement technology into new meeting/event spaces on campus.

- Communicate and coordinate with event stakeholders (Conference Services, Facilities, University Relations) on a regular basis

- Provide evening and weekend technical/professional support for events when needed (Open Houses, Alumni Weekend, etc.)

- During downtime between events the AV Coordinator will assist with general Helpdesk work as needed.

- Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or GED Required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Preferred with focus in Computer Technology, AV Technology, Event Management

Familiarity with various information technology and media platforms in higher education.

Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals ether verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message. Ability to listen and respond appropriately to others. Ability to impact and influence others to further the institution's strategic objectives.

Technical, Computer and Software Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software.
